Low-Cost Pet Vaccine Clinic Returns to Texarkana Wednesday

TEXARKANA, Texas — The Animal Protection League brings its mobile pet vaccination clinic back to Texarkana on Wednesday, July 15, offering low-cost shots for dogs and cats.

The walk-in vaccine clinic runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis at the PetSmart parking lot, 117 Richmond Road. No appointment is needed for vaccinations.

Pricing is straightforward: a rabies shot is $15, while dog and cat vaccine packages are $40 each. The dog package includes rabies, distemper/parvo, and bordetella; the cat package covers rabies, leukemia, and feline distemper. Heartworm and flea prevention are also available.

All cats must be in a pet carrier and all dogs on a leash. APL accepts cash, Mastercard, Visa, or Discover — no checks.

Spay and neuter surgeries are available by appointment only and can be scheduled at (903) 753-7387 or online at aplspayneuter.org.

The mobile unit visits Texarkana about twice a month. After Wednesday, upcoming trips are scheduled for Tuesday, July 28; Tuesday, Aug. 11; and Tuesday, Aug. 25, though dates are subject to change.
