Look up on Monday, June 29th — the Arkansas National Guard will be flying over Texarkana as part of America's 250th birthday celebration. The flyover is scheduled between noon and one in the afternoon, with aircraft traveling from South Stateline Avenue to North Stateline Avenue right through the heart of the Twin Cities.
You'll want to look for C-130 Hercules cargo planes from the 189th Airlift Wing and UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters from the 77th Expeditionary Combat Aviation Brigade. Residents are encouraged to grab an American flag, find a spot along Stateline, or grab lunch at one of the local restaurants along the route.
The flyover is part of a statewide Fly Over Arkansas tour running June 29th through July 2nd, with the Guard making stops across dozens of communities. Texarkana kicks off the very first day of the tour. Weather permitting.
