TEXARKANA, Ark. — The family of a Texarkana woman who has been missing since March is pleading for the public's help and offering a $2,000 reward for information that helps locate her.
Marilyn Williamson, 53, was last in contact with family in March. Her sister reported her missing to Texarkana Arkansas Police on April 8, saying she hadn't heard from her — highly unusual, relatives say, for a woman who normally stays in regular touch.
"We're just, like, lost," said Rhonda Allen, Williamson's aunt. "I'm trying to do everything I can to get somebody to step forward with the information they have. I will keep posting her picture every day until she is found. I'm not going to stop."
Williamson is described as a white woman with brown hair and green eyes, standing about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing around 140 pounds. She was known to frequent the Salvation Army, and family members have posted missing-person flyers throughout the College Hill community.
The family's frustration has grown as months pass. Relatives staged a protest outside the Bi-State Justice Center on June 30, calling on investigators to expand their search and pursue new leads.
Police say the case remains under active investigation and that they are continuing to follow all available leads. Investigators do not believe Williamson's disappearance is connected to any other missing-person cases in the area.
