Robbery Reported During ATM Service Call at Farmers Bank & Trust on Arkansas Boulevard

TEXARKANA, Ark. — Texarkana Arkansas Police are investigating a robbery that took place Monday afternoon at Farmers Bank & Trust on Arkansas Boulevard.

Officers responded to the call around 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 14... (correction: Monday, July 13) ...According to TAPD, an ATM at the bank was being serviced when two men approached the technician and demanded money from the machine. The suspects gained access to the ATM by threatening the victim and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Detectives with the department's Criminal Investigation Division responded to the scene and reviewed surveillance video of the incident. Investigators say they are actively following leads from the footage and witness statements to identify those responsible.

Monday's robbery follows a similar incident in January 2025, when three suspects took cash from the Red River Federal Credit Union ATM at Arkansas Boulevard and Jefferson Avenue while a Loomis security employee was servicing the machine. Police at the time said they were also looking at a possible connection to an ATM theft weeks earlier on the Texas side. Texarkana was also among the cities hit in a multi-state string of ATM technician robberies between 2017 and 2019 that led to federal indictments of 27 people.

The investigation into Monday's robbery remains active and ongoing, and police say additional details will be released as they become available.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the TAPD Criminal Investigation Division at (903) 798-3154.
